Repairing barrels, Harvest 2020, Russian River Valley

I have lived in California, Montana, Seattle, Madrid, and Portland, Oregon. In Portland, I share my home with a husband, two spoiled tabbies, and an equally spoiled rescue pup.

In 2016, I graduated with an MFA in Writing from Portland State University. I have spent most of my life serving tables, and through food I developed a passion for wine and travel. I passed my Certified Sommelier exam with the Court of Sommeliers in 2019, and passed my WSET Diploma in 2022. I worked harvests at De Loach Vineyards and J.C. Somers Wine, learning even more about the winemaking process. I write about wine to educate, inform and entice.

I have edited for the Sonoma State Star and for the Portland State Vanguard, and I served as Fiction Editor for Portland Review for two years. My current work is wine and travel writing as well as personal essays.
